For Christmas this year, B and I took the plunge and bought a Vitamix. It has yet to arrive, but I’m already dreaming up all the smoothie, soup, and nut butter concoctions I can think of! Part of this desire was brought on by one of our favorite neighborhood gems as of late, Tiny Empire. It’s an amazing smoothie and juice bar in Williamsburg that brings healthy beverages to a whole new level. Think rich smoothies filled with things like… hearty cashews and dates, and innovative ingredients like Himalayan sea salt, cinnamon, and maca powder. Salt in a smoothie?? Shear brilliance.

I’ve admittedly never really been into the big box juice companies, but a local spot that’s producing such beautiful organic and small batch product, with a killer mantra to go with (see photo below)? You know that steals my heart. So the next time you’re in Williamsburg, you must pop in to Tiny Empire to fuel your walk, or at least before you hit the beer garden for a cold one and a big pretzel. And though I’ll be pumping out much better smoothies once our Vitamix arrives, Tiny Empire will definitely remain one of my weekly stops for a healthy treat and ongoing ingredient inspiration. They also have great to go salads and snacks, so you can easily make a whole meal of it. Do let me know if you make it!

Ps: Also, want to give a huge thank you to you all for your comments, tweets, and emails about this post. It means the world to me. Here’s to a great week!

  1. I love juices, so hearing about new places in NYC makes my day–I’ll have to try Tiny Empire out!

  2. Oh goodness-welcome to the wonderful world of Vitamix!!! It’s the best for “juicing” but with fiber… so smoothies but better. : )

Ooooh yay! It arrives today… I can’t wait!

  3. I’m so envious! I’d love a Vitamix, but my wallet can’t really handle purchasing one right now. Can’t wait to see what you come up with and hope you share some recipes!

I know, they’re a bit of a splurge! But we actually got a refurbished one so it wasn’t as expensive (does have a 5yr. warranty), and we split it. So that helps!

What a cute place! I love the name. Where is your bag from? Looks like a good weekender bag.

    • Clara

It’s a great weekender bag! It’s the Lo & Son’s OG bag. Link is at the bottom of the post!

  5. Linda

I need to know the nail polish you are wearing! Love it!
    Thanks!

Eeek sadly I don’t know! It’s a gel color, and kind of an orangey red/pink. Sorry I can’t be of more help!
