In college I was really into my wardrobe. I suppose that’s true of any early 20 something, but back then I felt really on top of the latest trends, and had so much fun building a collection of classic well made staples, balanced with some more eclectic pieces for good measure. From quality jeans to hand bags and standout accessories- I was into it.
These days though? I still love clothes, and my wardrobe is important to me, but all that effort for finding deals and hunting down the perfect pieces? I do not have it! The tough part for me has been that if I’m going to make a big purchase or invest in a classic piece- I want to know everything that’s out there. It can take me six months (or more) to find a new hand bag or settle on a pair of new skinny jeans. That’s just the way I am. These days those timelines have become even longer because I simply don’t have a ton of time to research options and shop. Fashion blogs help but it can be very piecemeal- it’s not a big enough sweep for my style of shopping. You know what I mean?
Then I heard about Rank & Style- a website that objectively (yes, completely objective) ranks the 10 best items out there within specific categories of clothing, shoes, beauty, and accessories. Think the best strappy sandals, maxi dress, white denim shorts, and more. It’s kind of unreal. Even better- I’ve had the privilege of teaming up with the company to assisting in coordinating their “Summer in the City” campaign. Today Sally + Molly, Caitlin, Danielle, and Jessie are all sharing their favorite pick from the site. I’ve shared a few of mine below and why the lists helped me so much.
Head over to Rank & Style and get yourself on their email list. I assure you, this is one newsletter you do not want to miss!
Strapless Bras: Mine is at the point where the underwire is about to poke through- so I’m definitely in the market for a new one. I love that this list provides a true variety of price points.
Curling Wand: I just picked up the Conair one thanks to R&S. Once again- did not want to spend a fortune so loved being able to find the best one for a low price point.
Facial Luminizers: I am so not in the know when it comes to makeup, so I’m particularly fond of all their beauty lists. I used the one for facial luminizers to settle on Nars “The Multiple” Stick.
What are your favorite lists?
This is cool and sounds totally helpful. I just bought a Conair curling wand too! (are you loving it?)
I haven’t used it yet! About to tomorrow I think… have you had good results?
Hey I am so grateful I found your site, I really found you by error,
while I was looking on Bing for something else, Regardless I am here now and would just like
to say thanks for a fantastic post and a all round entertaining blog (I also
love the theme/design), I don’t have time to go through it all at the moment but I have saved it and also included your RSS feeds, so when I have time I will be back to read a great deal more, Please do keep up the great work.
What a great idea! I haven’t heard of Rank & Style until this post, but I’m certainly going to check it out. Especially for items like styling tools and makeup, since I’m not in-the-know at all!
