"Clara Artschwager--what a rare gem.  She is one of those rare professionals that is both professional and charming, organized yet flexible.  She was willing to go above and beyond to help our business grow, and I know our current business would not be nearly as strong were it not for her."
~ Sara Lafleur, CEO, M.M. LAFLEUR

Two years ago, when I first started blogging about food, I had no idea what I was doing with a camera! Slowly over time I became more skilled and was able to strongly improve the quality of my photos. Nonetheless, I still wasn’t completely sure why my photos came out the way they did- or what made them good. So I decided to create a series to figure that out, and hopefully, in the process, teach others how to improve their food photography skills and achieve higher quality photos. In terms of tools, I shoot with a Canon T2i Rebel, with a 50 mm lens. I use Helene Dujardin’s book Plate to Pixel as a guide to this series.

Check out previous posts below and feel free to email me if you have any specific photography questions, or would like me to cover a particular area in my posts. I adore assisting my readers!
