One of the behind the scenes things I’ve been working on for the blog is a more sophisticated look to some of the content. In all honesty, when I switched from Channeling Contessa to Clara Persis, I started to feel like I was trying to force my old content into the new space. Sure, the words could be the same, but I knew I needed a different feel for the graphics. So I enlisted the help of uber talented graphic designer, Sharon McMullen of Ink & Mortar, to help me bring the images and graphics I envisioned to life. This post marks the first launch of this work, and the start of a new series that succinctly captures my month ahead. I couldn’t be more thrilled, and reallyhope you guys like it!

Now, I’d so love to hear… what do you have on tap for March?

  1. We are heading down to Antigua, Guatemala for our first destination wedding turned extended vacation! After this horrrrrible winter, I am really looking forward to some warm weather and sunshine!

  2. Martha B

I love the new look! I will have to eat some artichokes, I didn’t know they were in season.

  3. Great graphic Clara! I can’t even begin to explain how happy I’ll be to finally put away the sweaters and salty boots…sooner rather than later would be good :)

  4. I need to clean out my closet too. Every few months, I force myself to wear everything for the season in my closet… when I get to items that I don’t like, I throw them away or toss them asap. It takes time… but I love having a cleaner closet.

Love the graphics too. I struggle SO much with creating graphics…

  5. Christine

Excited to see your new graphics! Your site is always so chic & lovely. A major closet cull is on my March to-do list also — do you have any tips you could share? Pretty please? I dream of having a beautifully curated closet (in my mind, a very “French” closet), but I always wind up hanging on to so much stuff that just sits around in the dreamland of what-ifs & when-i’s!

  6. Amy

I’m inspired to get some summer trips on the calendar, and do a major purge of the closet and the home.

  7. Michelle

Thank you for your inspiring blogs! The month of March is almost over so I plan to keep on keeping on…I am trying to purge any and everything out of my life that is cluttering up my personal space and have been doing so. It feels good to get rid of stuff whether it be give it away, sell it or place it in its final spot. So freeing!

Hi Michelle! I’m so with you on the purging- it’s one of the best feelings in the world :)
