channeling contessa Valentine's desserts

Handwritten Chocolate Glazed Cupcakes

Chocolate Coconut Pudding (vegan!)

Raspberry Linzer Cookies

Iced Lavender Lemon Shortbread

Greek Yogurt Cheesecake with Pomegranate Syrup

We couldn’t let you face Valentine’s Day without a dessert round-up, so here are a few recipes that I think would be perfect.  I think it’s such a nice gesture to cook for someone else, and it’s generally even more appreciated when you serve dessert. I’ve actually heard that serving a great dessert after a mediocre dinner improves the outlook of the whole meal!

My ideal Valentine’s desserts are either chocolate (naturally), or have festive touches (they’re heart-shaped, red/ pink, etc). Some of these recipes are very indulgent- Chocolate Caramel Sea Salt Tart- and some just appear to be – Coconut Chocolate Pudding and Greek Yogurt Cheesecake. I’d love to know who will you be baking for this holiday?

  1. Oh my word. You just made me want to ditch teaching my last class (I’m a teacher, currently on a break…) and go home and bake instead. YUM!!!! I especially want to try the Greek Yogurt Cheesecake with Pomegranate Sauce… amazing.

  2. Ugh, these all look SO good. I’ll second wanting to try the Greek yogurt cheesecake. Yogurt, man. It’s a health food, right?

    • Ha! exactly, and pomegranates are a superfood, so you know…

  3. I need to learn how to make Linzer cookies!!!

    • Do it! They’re not too scary, just a lot of cut-outs. Good luck!

  4. These desserts are adorable and look delicious!

  5. All those goodies look delicious,I plan on baking this weekend!
