There’s something about holiday gift giving that makes me yearn for cookbooks. I love receiving new ones from my family around Christmas. Here are eight I’ve got my eye on this year. I’m specifically excited about Deb’s cookbook to finally see how that all came together, and Seoultown Kitchen, since Korean pub food is something I absolutely love but have no idea how to make at home.  What about you guys? Any cookbooks I must add to my list? I’d so love your recommendations!

Also, yesterday I started putted together a little CC Holiday playlist. You can subscribe to the list via Spotify. The list is a mix of old and new. Some of those songs (like the Frank Sinatra and Willie Nelson) have been holiday music staples in my house since I was a little girl, and are what truly put me in the holiday spirit. I’ll add to the list over the next few weeks. Also speaking of playlists, monthly playlists with a collection of music I’m currently loving are something I’m thinking doing on CC in 2013- would you guys be interested in that? Let me know!

  1. La Torontoise

Clara, it was through your blog that I learned about the Foolproof book! Thank you so much! I’ve already ordered it and can hardly wait…

Now, I got last month Jamie’s 15 Minutes Meals. It works!!
And I consider it a great gift to 3 of my friends. Here is the link to Amazon:

And some time ago, I got into Jamie’s 30 Minutes world, another great find:

My ‘dream books’ for next year are those:
    Jacque Pepin:

And this little book on crepes parties (it’s in French):

  2. Barefoot Contessa’s new book is on my list as well :). I also requested Bal Arneson’s healthy Indian cookbook and the Pioneer Woman’s new cookbook…for when I feel like making something fattening!

  3. Cookbooks are pretty much consuming my wish list this year…especially that Smitten Kitchen one!

    The Glossy Life

  4. I love receiving new cookbooks too! I have Baked and love it. I’ve been eyeing up The Sprouted Kitchen as well. A monthly playlist sounds like a great idea – I find that sharing music with friends is a great way to discover new tunes!

  6. My spouse and I absolutely love your blog and find almost all of your post’s
to be precisely what I’m looking for. Do you offer guest writers to write content for you?
I wouldn’t mind publishing a post or elaborating on many of the subjects
you write in relation to here. Again, awesome site!
