{A gorgeous photo of NYC by the lovely Jamie Beck}

After what’s felt like one of the most odd and off weeks ever in the city, the NYC marathon is still set to take place this Sunday. And I’m so excited, because Brandon is running it! Saturday I’ll be making signs, and Sunday morning I’ll be scurrying around trying to track down and cheer on Brandon, and the four other friends I have running the race. Do you guys know anyone who’s running it? Are you running it?? Let me know! I’m happy to cheer on more people :).

And beyond the marathon- it’s November! Definitely up there as one of my favorite months of the year since it involves my birthday, my mom’s birthday, Brandon’s birthday, and Thanksgiving- my favorite holiday. Earlier this week I spent some time hashing out my editorial calendar for November and let me just tell you, there is oh so much good holiday stuff in store. I’ve got T-giving prep guides for you guys, a ton of recipes, and a surprise coming at the end of the month that I’ve been waiting to reveal since July. It will blow your mind, promise! So yeah, it’s gonna be a good month.

Lastly, a couple things you may have missed this week:

  • Did you see we added all the photos from our second “NYC Entertaining” shoot to our Facebook page? John Dolan, our photographer, did such an amazing job. We’re shooting our next party in mid November. A hint? It involves entertaining tips for Thanksgiving!
  • My sweet friend from college, Melissa, who works as a news reporter in Maine, featured my Bruléed Pumpkin Oatmeal on one of her segments this week!! See the video here.

Have a wonderful weekend friends, and thanks so much (as always) for reading. xx
